Nicole founded Home Gnome Inspections after more than 13 years in the architecture field doing project management and construction administration. She earned her Master’s degree in Architecture and her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from Montana State University-Bozeman. (Ask her about design ideas while she’s inspecting your home!) She prides herself on being knowledgable, detail-oriented and great with clients. In addition to her uncanny enthusiasm for crawlspaces, Nicole promises same-day inspection report delivery and exceptional customer service.
Nicole grew up in South Dakota and Montana. She has travelled to England, France, Spain, Italy, Norway, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Ireland, Croatia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. She lived briefly in Guatemala where she taught English to 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade girls while improving her Spanish. She is interested in a volunteer program to build or re-build homes in South America or Africa.
Nicole is a volunteer at NAYA, Habitat for Humanity and the Architectural Heritage Center. In her free time, Nicole likes to meet friends for happy hour (suggest your favorite happy hour here!), travel to warm & sunny places, paint and read books. She is a rabid Timbers fan and also a supporter of the Portland Thorns and Timbers2. Nicole is currently reading What Unites Us by Dan Rather.
